our style and services

At Ginger Lily & Rose, we use a very natural, abundant style to create bouquets with tonnes of interest, and delight in the imperfections of nature. We do not offer ‘packages’ as such because Julia likes each and every wedding to be very different from the last! Raw, natural styles that invoke a romantic mood and capture the personality of the couple are the most popular.

We enjoy projects that involve large scale, dramatic installations and themes that don’t follow a trend! Julia loves to break barriers and do ‘different’. We would love to meet you and work together to develop a beautiful, unique floral concept for your wedding.

We are currently overhauling our creative process through the use of more environmentally friendly techniques that will ensure our earth stays as naturally beautiful as possible! This includes slowly phasing out designs that require floral foam (VERY bad for the environment!!) and introducing props/methods that can be used again, all while providing that very important water source our QLD florals are always requiring!

THE PROCESS

1. collect inspiration

Have a look through our portfolio and flower guide. These are great places to start for inspiration. We’d love to see your ideas from other sources too. Pinterest, magazines…the works! Email us as much as you like - the more information we have, the better idea we get of both your personality and the look you are trying to achieve.

2. arrange a meeting or phone call

Arrange a meeting with GLR and we can discuss the details face to face in our inspirational studio in Shelly Beach, Caloundra. If you can’t make it to the studio, we are more than happy to conduct phone consultations and email (for those overseas or interstate). Email is by far the best means if there is no face to face available, because it means you can send us photos, links, mood boards and anything else you feel we might need!

3. your concept plan

Our creative concepts are detailed, descriptive and really beautiful. They are in depth and done with your individual requirements in mind. We therefore charge a fee of $100.00 for our time and creative, intellectual property. Each concept is copyrighted and individualised. This fee comes off your initial deposit amount. It’s our way of ensuring our intellectual property is protected and our ideas are not copied by other florists.

Once you approve the concept, a 25% booking fee of the total is payable. This 25% fee comes off the total at the issuing of the final concept.

4. final payment

Final payment is due 4 weeks before your wedding date. Your concept plan has a full list of conditions and expectations to read. If you have any questions we will endeavour to have the answers!

5. the big day

By now you must be thinking, “Is there anything else I need to do?” GLR will email you a wedding day checklist with details that need to be confirmed i.e. place of preparation and delivery addresses. If you could go through the checklist and email it back to us, we would be greatly appreciative. That way, your wedding day will go off without a hitch and you can sit back, relax and watch the wonders unfurl!
